NHL Bracket Battle

Updated today

What is NHL Bracket Battle?

NHL Bracket Battle is Underdog's free NHL tournament bracket contest. Fill out your NHL Playoffs bracket and compete. No entry fee required, no prize pool.

How do I enter?

Open the Underdog app, navigate to the Bracket Battle lobby in the Originals tab, and fill out your bracket before the first round tips off. Brackets are available starting 4/17. One bracket per user. You must have a verified account to participate.

Is it really free?

Yes! There is no entry fee necessary to enter — Bracket Battle is a free-to-play contest!

Who is eligible?

Bracket Battle is open to all eligible Underdog users in supported states. You must have a verified account to participate.

Can I edit my bracket?

Yes, brackets can be edited up until the first playoff game tips off. Once the first game starts, brackets are locked and cannot be changed.

Can I view other people's brackets?

Before the tournament starts, you can only see brackets that have been explicitly shared with you. Once the tournament begins, the leaderboard is visible, and public brackets may be viewable. Your username and avatar may appear on the leaderboard.

Can I share my bracket?

Yes — after submitting, you can share your bracket via the share button in the lobby. Your shared bracket will generate a tappable preview card across social platforms and messages.

How does scoring work?

You earn points for every correct pick. Points double each round — so later-round picks are worth more:

What about tiebreakers?

When submitting your bracket, you'll be asked to enter a tiebreaker (a score prediction). In the event of a tie on the leaderboard, tiebreaker responses will be used to separate rankings. Full tiebreaker rules are in the official contest rules.

Where can I find the official contest rules?

Full official rules are available at app.underdogfantasy.com/rules.
