Every sport has its particular scoring. For more information on other sports, check out the MISC section on our rules page.
The format for this contest is a 2-person scramble. Please note, USGA rules apply.
Where to watch: The Good Good Lonestar Shootout will start as a livestream on Good Good's YouTube channel at 4 PM ET, and the Golf Channel broadcast will start at 5 PM ET.
Each pairing will be listed by their Good Good member names (ex: Team Bubbie will include Bubbie and his partner) and will accumulate statistics based on how that overall pairing performs and not just the specific players listed. Full pairings can be found on the Good Good Instagram page here or the tournament info page here.
Strokes
Strokes
Tee shots - Both players tee off on each hole. The team chooses the best tee shot, and the other player picks up their ball and places it within one club-length of the chosen position (no closer to the hole).
Subsequent shots - All team members hit their next shot from the chosen position, repeating the process of selecting the best ball for each subsequent shot until the ball is holed. This applies to every shot, including bunker and penalty shots.
Putting - Teams also choose the best first putt from the marked spot on the green. Each player then putts from the same spot, and the first ball holed counts for the team score.
Individual/Group Hole Strokes - Strokes are calculated as how many shots are used per hole. So any stroke that isn’t used and the ball is picked up does not count toward the total.
Miscellaneous
Miscellaneous
Birdies or Better - This will be recorded as the total number of holes that the team records a score below par on any hole throughout the duration of the tournament.
Finishing Position - This stat is calculated as whatever place a given team finishes at based on their total strokes. If multiple teams finish with tied scores, they will both be graded as that position.
