How Long Do I Have to Wait Before Changing My Responsible Gaming Limits?

Updated over a week ago

When you set a Responsible Gaming limit (like a deposit limit, spending limit, or contest entry limit), there's a waiting period before you can raise or remove it. This waiting period exists to help you stick to the boundaries you've set for yourself.

You can always lower or make your limit more restrictive at any time - the waiting period only applies when you want to raise or remove a limit.

How the waiting period works

The waiting period is based on the cadence of your limit:

  • Daily limit - 1 day

  • Weekly limit - 7 days

  • Monthly limit - 30 days

States with a 90-day waiting period

Due to state regulations, players in the following states are subject to a 90-day waiting period regardless of limit type:

  • Indiana

  • Massachusetts

  • Michigan

  • New Hampshire

  • New Jersey

  • New York

  • Ohio

  • Pennsylvania

  • Tennessee

If you originally set a limit while located in a 90-day state, that 90-day period will remain in effect even if you're now located in a different*

*Please note, there’s a waiting period from the exact date and time the limit is set before it can be increased or removed.
