In-game projections allow for picks to be made after a player's game has started. The projection is for the entirety of the game, and picks will be graded based on their total stats at the end of the game.

For example, if LeBron has an in-game projection of 27.5 points, and his current stat is 7, LeBron would need to score at least 21 more points to finish with 28 or more points for selections of "higher" to win. He would need to score fewer than 21 more points (for a total of less than 27.5 points) for "lower" to win.

Live stats are frequently updated but may be delayed.

The 'Current Stats' displayed are provided by a 3rd party source and are unofficial. All grading of in-game picks will be determined by their final stat line at the end of the contest.

Rivals is a matchup of two players centered around a stat category, like points, goals, or yards. Most Rivals will have an adjustment. For example, LeBron (+2.5) points vs. Kevin Durant means that LeBron would be graded as a Win if LeBron scored more, equal, or 2 fewer points than Durant. For Durant to win, he would have needed to score 3 more points than LeBron.

Some Rivals will not have an adjustment — for example, Alex Ovechkin vs. Connor McDavid Goals. If neither score, it would be graded as a Tie/Void.

Lowest Score Wins Rivals - This applies when the scored stat is deemed as a "negative" stat. In these instances, the player with the lowest score is deemed the winner, and any adjustment associated with the Rival is added to the favorite's score. For example, in a Viktor Hovland (+.5) strokes Rival vs. Justin Thomas, if they both have 70 strokes in the round, Justin Thomas will be deemed the winner because Hovland will have ended with a 70.5 stroke total.

If either of your first two picks results in a tie or a void, the entire streak is refunded.

From picks 3-11, if a pick results in a tie or void, it will be replaced with your next pick.

Streaks entries made after October 11, 2024 must be completed within 30 days of entering. This means that for Streaks entries that do not have a losing prediction within 30 days, you must select Win Now or otherwise complete the Streak within 30 days of your first entry. At the end of that 30 day period, or any time thereafter and at our sole discretion, Underdog may grade your Streaks entry as a loss or choose Win Now on your behalf. Streaks entries made on or before October 11, 2024 must be completed within six months of entering.

If a game is postponed or suspended and the completion of that game does not occur on the initially scheduled calendar day, picks for the game will be graded as Void.

However, PGA and Golf Pick'em picks impacted by suspended rounds that resume the next day will remain active and be scored upon completion of the round.

If a tennis match enters a suspended state for any reason (weather, darkness, COVID), we will wait until the tournament officials decide on the outcome before paying out or canceling contests. Suspended matches that resume at a later date will remain active and be scored upon completion of the round. Any Tennis Pick'em involving a player from an uncompleted match (DQ, WD, Injury) will be void, and the payout for the entry, including the voided pick, will adjust based on the number of valid picks in the entry. However, partial stats will grade if that part of the match has completed.

Shortened games that are still official will score as usual and be counted toward entries.

If we can measure it, it can be a stat, although we usually stick to the most common stats. Things like shots, points, receiving yards, assists, rebounds, hits - all depending on the sport.

Some picks include multiple stats. Simply add them up to get the total. For example, Pts + Rebs + Asts for NBA would be the total of the player points, rebounds, and assists - while Birdies or better for Golf would include an Ace, Albatross, Eagle, or Birdie.

Projections for a specific game period (1Q, 1H, etc) refer to stats accumulated only during that game period. Stats accumulated during other portions of the game will not count.

H = Half

P = Period

Inn = Inning

If a player does not play in a game, his partial game picks will void. If a player plays in the game, his picks will grade normally whether or not he played in the specified period*.

*NBA, WNBA, and NHL partial game stats do NOT include any stats accumulated during any overtime periods. Furthermore, if a player does not play during the specified portion of the game, their partial game picks will void.

Scorchers are allowed in Streaks.

All picks will be valid if a player plays in a game but exits early due to injury or otherwise.

Football - If a player is officially inactive, the pick will be graded as a Void. If a player is active but does not play a snap, this will be graded as a Void. Any player who plays a snap will have their picks graded.

Basketball - Whether officially active or inactive, if the player plays 0 minutes, they will be treated as inactive, and all picks will be considered Void.

MLB - Whether officially active or inactive, if a batter doesn't start the game in the official starting lineup, they will be treated as an inactive player, and all picks of that player will be considered Void. If a pitcher does not start the game but comes on in relief, their pick will be scored.

Hockey - Any skater not active for the game will have their entries graded as a Void. A goalie who does not start will have their entries graded as a Void, even if they come on in relief.

Golf - For a winner to be determined, both golfers in a Golf Pick'em Rival matchup MUST complete the round. The Rival will be scored as a Void if either golfer does not finish the round (due to injury, withdrawal, DQ, or any other reason). The payout for the entry, including the voided pick, will be adjusted based on the number of valid picks.

Soccer - Whether officially active or inactive, if the player doesn't start the game in the official starting lineup, they will be treated as an inactive player, and all picks of that player will be considered Void.

Racing - If a player does not complete a qualifying lap, picks for that qualifying session will be voided. If a driver starts the race and drives for any amount of time, their picks will be considered valid, even if they do not complete a single lap.

Rivals - If either player doesn't play, the pick is voided regardless of whether they are inactive or never come off the bench.

Duos - Both players in the duo must play or else the projection will void.

All In-Game MLB, NFL, NBA and NHL pick(s) will not void if a player does not play after your submission is made. The pick(s) will grade as normal using their final stat line at the end of the contest.

For all other sports, In-Game or 2H picks will void if a player does not play after your submission is made.

If a player plays in the first half of the game but does not return in the second half for any reason (injury, ejection, etc.), your entry will be refunded, and you'll be given a special that'll appear in your lobby the next day. This will be displayed as "Rescue Refund" in your transactions log. Please note this only applies if you chose higher on the player's selection.

For MLB, hitters must have started the game and exited before logging their third plate appearance to be eligible for rescue. Pitchers are not currently eligible for rescue.

Entries must be valid to be Rescued. Rescues will not go into effect if any other selection(s) in your entry are graded as a loss (assuming it is a valid entry). All entries impacted this way will be refunded, but only one special will be available per uniquely impacted player. Rescue also applies for entries that use Pick'em Flex. For example, if you have a Pick-5 entry where three selections are graded as a win, one selection is graded as a loss and the final selection doesn't return in the 2nd half (for any reason) of their game - your entry will be Rescued!
