Every sport has its particular scoring. For more information on other sports, check out the MISC section on our rules page.
Cumulative projections: Any projection joined by the plus (+) symbol means that that pick is a combination of those stats. 'Hits + Bases + Runs' for example is the combination of all 3 stats.
Shohei Ohtani's Fantasy Points apply to hitting statistics only. Pitching statistics are not included for his Fantasy Points purposes.
Hitting
Total Bases: counts the number of bases earned through a players hit. For example, Single = 1, Double = 2, Triple = 3 etc. Walks and Stolen bases are not included in the scoring system.
Singles: A batted ball that results in a single. Doubles, Triples, and Home Runs do not count.
Pitching
In order for pitching projections to grade, the player must throw a pitch in the game. If the player starts the game (as a hitter) but does not pitch, his pitching projections will void, and his batting projections will grade normally.
Pitching Outs: counts the amount of outs recorded while the pitcher is pitching in the game.
Pitch Count: counts the amount of pitches thrown by a pitcher. This is scored in accordance with MLB's official count.
Strikeouts: This refers to strikeouts recorded as the pitcher. Strikeouts recorded as a batter will not count.
Other
A Fielding Assist will be graded as the following: a fielding assist is awarded to a fielder who touches the ball before a putout is recorded by another fielder. A fielder receives an assist as long as he touches the ball, even if the contact was unintentional. There is a maximum of one assist per player per out recorded. If a player touches the ball twice in a rundown, where the runner is eventually tagged out, that player is only credited with one assist for that out. Pitchers are not awarded assists for strikeouts.
Stolen Bases Allowed will only be counted when the respective catcher is playing the position of catcher and when a stolen base is attributed to the runner on base, which the catcher allows by not getting him out.
First Pitch of Game Strike: If the first pitch by the respective starting pitcher is a strike or foul ball or batted ball, then the projection will be graded as a "Strike", if the first pitch by the respective starting pitcher is a ball or a HBP, then the projection will be graded as a "Ball". In the event of a clock violation on the first pitch by either the pitcher or batter, this projection will void.
First Pitch Velocity (MPH): the velocity in miles per hour of the pitcher's first pitch.
Game High Fantasy Points: the respective hitter who has the highest fantasy points for the game will win the title of "Game High Fantasy Points."
SP Fastest Pitch of Game (MPH): the starting pitcher who has the highest velocity in miles per hour of their pitch for the game will win the title of "Fastest Pitch of Game."
First Strikeout (Pitchers) - Scored as the first pitcher in the game to record a strikeout in the game. If a pitcher does not record a strikeout before they are replaced, all 'Yes' selections will be graded as a loss. This projection will only void if the specified pitcher does not start the game.
First Earned Run Allowed (Pitchers) - Scored as the first pitcher in the game to allow an Earned Run in the game. If a pitcher does not allow an Earned Run before they are replaced, all 'Yes' selections will be graded as a loss. This projection will only void if the specified pitcher does not start the game.
First Inning Batters Faced (Pitchers) - Graded as the number of batters that log a Plate Appearance in the first inning versus the specified pitcher. The specified pitcher must start the game and throw at least one pitch to a batter for these projections to grade, otherwise this projection will void.
First Hit (Batters) - Scored as the first batter in the game to record a hit in the game. If no hit is recorded in the game, all 'Yes' selections will be graded as a loss. If the specified batter exits the game without a Hit, all 'Yes' selections will be graded as a loss. This projection will only void if the specified batter does not start the game.
First Run (Batters) - Scored as the first batter in the game to record a run in the game. If no run is recorded in the game, all 'Yes' selections will be graded as a loss. If the specified batter exits the game without a Run scored all 'Yes' selections will be graded as a loss. This projection will only void if the specified batter does not start the game.
First RBI (Batters) - Scored as the first batter in the game to record an RBI in the game. If no RBI is recorded in the game, all 'Yes' selections will be graded as a loss. If the specified batter exits the game without an RBI, all 'Yes' selections will be graded as a loss. This projection will only void if the specified batter does not start the game.
First Home Run (Batters) - Scored as the first batter in the game to record a Home Run in the game. If no Home Run is recorded in the game, all 'Yes' selections will be graded as a loss. If the specified batter exits the game without a Home Run, all 'Yes' selections will be graded as a loss. This projection will only void if the specified batter does not start the game.
Runs Allowed
1st Inning Runs Allowed: Both unearned and earned runs will count towards the grading of this projection.
1-3 Inn. Runs Allowed: Both unearned and earned runs will count towards the grading of this projection.
Postponed Games
If a game is postponed or not started at the original time and the completion of that game occurs more than 48 hours from the scheduled start time, all selections will be void.
Suspended Games
Games that are postponed for rain, weather, or any other reason, prior to starting will be void unless they are played on the originally scheduled day (local time).If a game is suspended after starting, selections will be graded only if the game is resumed within 36 hours of the original start time. All selections are void unless the outcome of was unequivocally determined before the game was suspended. (For example: Selections for “Aaron Judge to Hit a Home Run” will be graded as winners if Judge hits a 1st inning HR and the game is suspended in the 3rd inning and rescheduled for the following week.)
For Spring Training only, MLB and MLBCOMBOS picks that are unequivocally decided prior to postponement will be graded, all other picks will void.
Futures
MLB Full Season picks will exclude playoffs and be settled after the conclusion of the regular season based on their respective stats.
For season long batter projection and award selections, the nominated player must have at least one plate appearance during a regular season game for selections to be valid.
For season long pitcher projection and award selections, the nominated player must have completed at least one third of an inning during a regular season game for selections to be valid.
Pitchers' ERA projections will be rounded to the thousandth decimal place. For example, if a pitcher has a projection of 4.00 and their ERA is 3.999, their projection will be scored as a Lower. Hitters' batting averages will be rounded to the ten thousandth decimal place. For example, if a batter has a projection of .300 and their average is .2999, their projection will be scored as a Lower.
If a player changes teams at any point before or during the season, this will NOT affect the players' projections unless the team change results in an entry only consisting of one team, making it invalid at the time of settlement.
Additionally, if a player is released and does not sign with a new team, this will not affect his projection, and the above game appearance requirements remain intact.
The player with the highest total number of home runs hit during the MLB regular season will win the title of “Most Home Runs.”
The player with the highest total number of strikeouts during the MLB regular season will win the title of “Most Strikeouts.”
The player with the highest total number of RBIs during the MLB regular season will win the title of “Most RBIs."
The player with the highest total number of runs scored during the MLB regular season will win the title of “Most Runs.”
The player with the highest total number of stolen bases during the MLB regular season will win the title of “Most Stolen Bases.”
If two or more players are tied for most home runs or most strikeouts then each player is declared the respective winner.
If two or more players are tied for most RBIs or most runs or most stolen bases then each player is declared the respective winner.
The player with the highest total number of Hits during the MLB regular season will win the title of “Most Hits.”
The player with the highest total number of Wins during the MLB regular season will win the title of “Most Wins.”
The player with the highest total number of Saves during the MLB regular season will win the title of “Most Saves.”
If two or more players are tied for most hits or most wins or most saves then each player is declared the respective winner.
