Pick'em Scoring - Olympics
Updated this week

Every sport has its particular scoring. For more information on other sports, check out the MISC section on our rules page.

If an athlete does not reach the final medal round of an event (whether due to disqualification, injury, or not qualifying), their projections will grade as normal. Their finishing position will be graded as 1 higher than the total number of athletes in the final.

For example: a swimmer swims in the semi-final of the 100m butterfly, but does not qualify for the final. They will be graded with a finishing position of 9 because there are 8 swimmers in the final.

If an athlete reaches the final, but is disqualified during the final or does not finish the final event, their projections will void.

If a member of a relay team is disqualified, the entire team's projections will void.

  • Knockouts - when a fighter wins a fight by knockout, or by ref/corner stoppage (TKO).

  • Fight Time (Mins) - will be scored as a decimal and offered only in 15-second intervals. For example: If a fight lasts 12 minutes and 30 seconds, the score would be 12.5. If a fight lasts 2 minutes and 15 seconds, the score would be 2.25.

GOLF

  • All picks involving golfers who do not finish their round or withdraw from the round early will be voided.

  • PGA and Golf are scored for single rounds, not the entire tournament

Finishing Position - graded based on the standings after every golfer has completed the entire tournament. For example, if Rory McIlroy has a Finishing Position projection of 5.5 and he finishes in fifth place at the tournament's end, people that selected "better" would win those selections. Any golfer that does not complete their full round, will be graded as void. Any golfers that miss the cut or withdraw will be graded as "Worse" in their finishing position at the end of their final round. Any golfers that are tied for their finishing position, will be graded with the same finishing position. For example, if there are 3 golfers tied for 5th place at the conclusion of a round or tournament, all three would be graded as 5, and the following golfer would be graded as 8.
