Deposits FAQ

Updated over a week ago

How can I refund my deposit?

To request a refund of a deposit, you can reach out to us directly by clicking the “Contact Support” button in the app.

If it is the first deposit made on the account, you are also able to initiate a refund through the app by going to the Withdrawals section of the Account page.

Any matched funds that were added as a result of a deposit promotion will be forfeited should the deposit be refunded.

Is there a fee associated with Credit Card Deposits?

Underdog does not directly charge a fee for credit card deposits.

While Underdog does not assess a fee for using a credit card, you should reach out to your financial provider to ensure no fees are assessed on their end.

Can I use a family member/friend’s card?

All deposit and withdrawal sources must match the details on the Underdog account.

Per Underdog's terms of service, using a deposit or withdrawal source that does not belong to you or match the details on the Underdog account is strictly prohibited. Please only use sources that are in your name, or your account may be subject to restriction and review.

Is there a minimum deposit amount?

The minimum deposit amount required is $10 at this time. If you are having any trouble depositing, you can reach out to us directly by clicking the “Contact Support” button in the app.

Why was my deposit rejected?

Deposits may be rejected for various reasons, including:

  • Mismatched zip code

  • Mismatched name - including suffixes like "Jr."

  • Mismatched billing address

  • Insufficient funds

  • Declined by the issuing bank

  • Billing address discrepancies or outdated card details may require updating with your bank or Underdog account

Please make sure any deposit source you use is in your name and matches the details on your Underdog account. Additionally, shared payment methods across multiple accounts are not permitted. Each account is required to have its own dedicated payment sources, such as a debit/credit card or PayPal account.

If you don't see an error code for your rejected deposit, you can reach out to us directly by clicking the “Contact Support” button in the app. Alternatively, users can manually enter card details or use options like PayPal and bank connections through Trustly if Apple Pay fails. Contacting your financial institution for transaction authorization may also resolve some issues.

Does my location matter when attempting a Deposit?

Your location does matter when attempting a deposit! Due to legal regulations, deposits may only be accepted if you are physically located in a state where Underdog is able to offer its contests. For more information on which states are eligible, please see here.

Why did my deposit process later?

Deposits made directly from checking accounts or from a debit card are more prone to encountering a delay in posting officially, but this can occur with all deposit methods.

Does a Refunded Deposit count towards my Deposit Limit?

A deposit that has been made to the account but refunded does count toward the deposit limit. The limit is specifically for all transactions (deposits) made to the account during the 30-day rolling timeframe. You can verify the deposited totals by clicking on your 'Account' tab and then selecting 'Transaction History'.
