Entrants select players through a snake draft. Size of each snake draft group may vary between Battle Royales.
In salary cap Battle Royale drafts your team must fit under the allotted salary for the given contest.
Unlike a normal snake draft you are not only competing against the others in your group of 12, 6, or whatever size this particular Battle Royale is grouped in.
In a Battle Royale you compete for 1 week against every snake draft group entered into the contest. Yes, you could have the same players as other teams.
Your score will be matched up against every other score in the contest, not just the participants in your particular group.
Contest details may vary as it pertains to multi entry amount, prize allotment, group size, player pool, and slate size.
At the end of the week, the entrant(s) with the highest scores are awarded prizes based on the prize pool allocation for that specific contest as noted on that contest's specific information page.
In the event of a tie, users included in the tie will split the prizes their positions cover evenly. For example if 1st place pays $30, 2nd place pays $20, and 3rd place pays $10 and there is a 3 way tie for 1st, the 3 winners will split a $60 prize. The 2nd highest unique score would then take home 4th place.
In the event a drafted player is ruled out ahead of a game's start and does not play, that player will be swapped to a player who was not selected in your Battle Royale draft, so long as there is a game on your Battle Royale's slate that has not started yet and the player will fit under your allotted salary. Roster construction requirements must still be met after swaps.
