What is a Vulture?
On Underdog, a Vulture is defined as a rushing TD scored by a player who is NOT a Designated RB. When this TD is scored, the designated RB is considered to have been Vultured.
What Happens if My Player Gets Vultured?
What Happens if My Player Gets Vultured?
If you select a player from the Designated RB list to score a Rush TD or Rush + Rec TD in your entry, you will receive Vulture Protection. If your selected player gets Vultured, your entry will be rescued and you’ll be given a promo that’ll appear in your lobby the next day if that was the only losing selection on your entry.
Rules
Rules
Limited to 1 promo per Vultured projection, even If multiple entries are protected for the same projection.
Only applies if you chose Higher on the player’s selection.
Only eligible for pregame selections.
Vulture protection will activate based on both how many times a running back is Vultured and how many rushing touchdowns they score.
For example, if Saquon Barkley is vultured once, but ends up scoring a rushing touchdown later in the game, only selections of Higher on Saquon Barkley 1.5 Rush TD would be eligible. Selections of Higher on Saquon Barkley 0.5 Rush TD would be graded as a win.
Vulture protection also applies for entries that use Pick'em Flex.
For example, if you have a Pick-5 entry where three selections are graded as a win, one selection is graded as a loss and the final selection doesn't return in the 2nd half (for any reason) of their game - your entry will be rescued. Flex entries with all winning entries besides the selection will not be protected, an additional losing selection (or 2 for entries that are pick 6, 7, or 8) would be needed for the entry to be protected.
Rush TD must be from the opposing 10-yard line or closer
Designated RB must have received a touch on the drive
A TD scored by a QB will not qualify
