Prediction Futures

Updated over 2 weeks ago

What are Futures?

Prediction Futures allow customers to buy and sell contracts (also known as shares or positions) based on the outcome of a future event rather than an individual contest.

Using the example of “Bills to win the AFC”, a buyer predicting the Bills will win the AFC can purchase a “Bills to win the AFC” contract.

If the Bills win the AFC, the buyer will be paid for each “Bills to win AFC” contract they’ve purchased (i.e., correct prediction). If the Bills do not win the AFC, they will not receive any payment (i.e., incorrect prediction). Buyers may purchase multiple contracts for the same future prediction.

Contract prices are based on the outcome’s probability. For example, if the Bills have a 20% chance to win the AFC, the price of a ‘Bills to win the AFC’ contract would be $0.20 (additional fees may apply).

Can I combine Futures or add them to a Combo Entry?

No. Currently, Futures can only be submitted as singles and cannot be combined or added to combo entries.

Can I edit or cancel a Futures entry?

While prediction futures cannot be canceled, you do have the option to cash out early. Please note that the cash-out value is determined by the current market value of your contracts, which means it may be higher or lower than your original entry fee.

To proceed with an early cash out, simply navigate to the Track tab and select Cash Out on your prediction entry.
