You can update the email address on your Underdog account directly from the app — no need to contact support in most cases.
How to Get Started
To change your email, go to your Account tab, scroll down to Preferences, then select Change Email. You'll be prompted to complete a quick 2FA verification step before the change is processed.
Identity Verification Required
Before your email can be updated, you'll need to verify your identity using Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA). This step is triggered automatically when you tap to change your email. The verification code is active for 10 minutes — if it expires, you can request a new one and start again.
Change Limits
You can change your email address up to 3 times per rolling 365-day period. This limit resets based on when your earliest change was made — not a calendar year.
What Happens After You Change Your Email
Once your email is successfully updated, you'll receive two confirmation emails:
Your new email address will receive a confirmation that the change was made.
Your old email address will receive a notice that it is no longer associated with your account.
Both emails include a link to contact support if you didn't make the change.
Troubleshooting
"Invalid email address" — Double-check that the email you entered is formatted correctly.
"This email is not available" — The email address has already been used on another Underdog account. Try a different email address.
Something else went wrong — If you see a generic error, try again. If the issue persists, contact our support team.
Can't Access Your Original Email?
If you no longer have access to the email address on your account and don't have MFA set up, you won't be able to complete the change on your own. Reach out to our support team and we'll help you through it.
